Erina, December 2025

For the third time, Kayla Seton has been named HR Professional of the Year at the national Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards, held at Crown, Melbourne, on November 27.

Seton Family Lawyers People and Culture Consultant, Kayla Seton, has again been recognised on the national stage at the Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards. For the third time, Kayla was named HR Professional of the Year, an accolade that reflects her ongoing influence in shaping wellbeing and workplace culture across the legal profession.

Kayla’s work is centred on building legal workplaces that support people to thrive, with emotional intelligence, psychological safety and genuine care embedded into everyday practice.

This year also carried deep personal significance, as Kayla carried a baby as a surrogate for close friends, an experience that informed her contribution to the national conversation on reform, including a written submission to the Australian Law Reform Commission’s recent review of surrogacy laws.

Her recognition highlights a commitment to progressive people and culture practices, advocating for a future of legal practice where wellbeing, inclusion and high performance sit side by side.
